I thought Anna Maxwell Martin was brilliant on the fantastic Bletchley Circle. And Maggie Gyllenhaal, a favorite actress of mine, is doing an excellent job in The Honorable Woman. These are the only two shows I’ve seen which had best actress nominations.
I am quite surprised that The Escape Artist and its two battling barristers weren’t nominated.
David Tennant and Sophie Okonedo were incredible. And I believe that program was produced in 2013, and I’m not sure which period of time these awards cover.
