DCI Banks to return for a new six-part series

From the Radio Times:

Stephen Tompkinson is to return as DCI Alan Banks for a trilogy of new cases adapted from the novels of Peter Robinson, this time joined by Doc Martin actress Caroline Catz.
Catz will take on the role of DCI Helen Morton, a mum of four and a serious-minded detective who’s more at home in front of a computer than in front of a suspect and whose approach to policing will push Banks to the brink.
Regular sidekick DS Annie Cabbot will be seen heading off on maternity leave as actress Andrea Lowe is expecting her first child, although Cabbot does vow to return to support Banks on future cases …

That’s something to look forward to. Just started listening to Peter Robinson’s latest on audible. It’s not a banks one but good so far.

Thanks for the comment. That’s my only experience of the books: audio books! I recommend avoiding the abridged versions. (Mine were Banks novels.) It’s possible to feel continuity is a little astray with the ones I listened to; too much left out.
