It's a crime! (Or a mystery…)

Million For a Morgue Campaign

The Thiel Centre of Excellence at the University of Dundee is to be named after a famous crime writer.  By voting, you get your say in selecting the chosen author and at the same time you donate to the campaign to raise funds to build this world class morgue.  Go here to vote.

Authors with their names in the frame are: Harlan Coben; Jeff Lindsay; Jeffrey Deaver; Kathy Reichs; Lee Child; Mark Billingham; Peter James; Stuart MacBride; Tess Gerritsen; Val McDermid.  Voting will close when the £1m target is reached and the author with the most votes will get their name on the morgue door.

I can’t help but feel this is one that Val McDermid should win for the support she has given already and for raising the profile of Professor Sue Black and her sterling work at Dundee University.

Find out more about the campaign on the home page.
