It's a crime! (Or a mystery…)

Pitlochry – less of the knitwear and more of crime these days, it seems…

I’m a bit late with this post but here it is.  If you find yourself disappointed that you couldn’t make it, then I suggest bookmarking the page and keeping an eye out for next year’s events.

I’ve always thought of Pitlochry as the home of Scottish knitwear and I’ll admit to harking back a decade or more for that one.  (I may, of course, be wrong!)  But for January 25-29, Pitlochry hosts the Winter Words Festival 2006 and features: Ian Rankin, Louise Welsh, Joanna Trollope, A. L. Kennedy, Chris Bonington, Lord Brian Rix, Elaine C. Smith, Val McDermid, Sir John Lister-Kaye, Denise Mina, and Christopher Rush.  That makes four well known crime fiction authors in attendance.  Who would choose to miss that, if a lover of crime fiction and in the vicinity, or close by and able to get there?

You can find more details here.

And a "sorry" from me, if I made this post a tad too late for your travel plans.
