Sky Atlantic HD has announced the start of production for the first two-part FALCÓN story, based on Robert Wilson’s bestselling Javier Falcón novels, which started filming in Seville last week.
Veteran actor Bernard Hill (Titanic, The Lord of The Rings) takes the role of Ramon Salgado, wealthy art dealer and friend of Falcón’s father, the renowned, but now deceased artist Francisco Falcón. Santiago Cabrerra (Merlin, Heroes) will play Judge Esteban Calderon. Further details from Sky here. Find out more about the novels at the author’s site here.
And what of the divine Mr Wilson’s novels? 2012 sees a move to Orion in the UK and his next novel’s details follow in the picture (taken from his agent’s catalogue).

This sounds really good! Not read any of the novels but know you’re a fan Rhian and you have good taste. Could be a while before on TV though.
Sky’s site says will be on screen in 2012. I, of course, will have to wait for a reasonably priced DVD or crash on someone’s sofa. The Falcon quartet is pure quality crime fiction and the novels set in Portugal include a CWA dagger winner. I am so looking forward to his new one.
