Faber Academy – Writing Crime Course

Running from 10 April through to 3 July in London, Faber Academy’s Writing Crime Course costs £1,750. It’s taught by Dreda Say Mitchell, with guest tutor sessions from Stav Sherez, Val McDermid and Mark Billingham. See here for more information.
It is worth noting that S J Watson, author of the award-winning Before I Go To Sleep is a graduate of a Faber Academy course. Rights to Before I Go To Sleep have been sold to 37 countries and picked up by Ridley Scott for the big screen.
This is one of the downsides of having moved to New Zealand – too far to travel! What an amazing lineup of tutors.
I’m planning a sabbatical from work in 2013 to concentrate on my writing and this course looks like gold dust. How to avoid star-struckness in the classroom though !
